Brandon Driscoll-Luttringer (BDL) made his first stop motion animation film at twelve years old, breathing life into inanimate objects per the alchemy of editing. Through non-stop experimentation, Brandon built his own brand of splicing by punctuating his editorial prowess with inventively sophisticated visual effects.
While attending USC Film School, Brandon edited music videos for Death Cab For Cutie and directed music videos for The All-American Rejects. After graduating, he formed Bonnie Brae Studio, a creative collective, where he collaborated on hugely successful viral video campaigns for Pop Chips, Coca-Cola, and Kesha. He continued directing music videos for artists, including Kaskade, Deadmau5, and Pharrell Williams.
His approach to writing and editing the award-winning documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi reveals a stark contrast to his flashy music video style - a lyrically minimalist style pervades, demonstrating the diversity of Brandon’s repertoire.
After cutting the trailers for Jiro Dreams of Sushi, he conceived and grew City Room Creative, an award winning entertainment marketing and production company that produced hundreds of movie trailers and several documentaries over the course of seven years. Clients included Netflix, Magnolia, The Orchard, Neon, Radius, IFC, and Sundance Selects. Awards included numerous Golden Trailer nominations and a Clio.
Brandon is based out of Los Angeles, California where he continues to practice amplifying voices through powerful storytelling. Some of his other interests include 3D animation, product design & engineering, rock climbing, backpacking, flame effects, animal rights, and his rescue dog named Foxy.
